VMD Event Types

TetherX classifies every camera event into one of 16 categories. Each category groups related detections so you can quickly filter, notify on, or ignore the types of events that matter to you. This page is auto-generated from the platform's event registry — if you see something here, it's a supported event type.

Motion & Activity

• Motion Detected — Basic motion detection in the camera's field of view
• Intrusion — Object or person entering a restricted area
• Line Crossing — Object crossing a virtual line or boundary
• Fast Movement — Rapid movement detected in the monitored area
• PIR Sensor — Passive infrared motion sensor activation
• Abandoned Object — Object left unattended in the monitored area
• Object Removed — Object taken from the monitored area

Objects

• Person — Human shape or presence detected
• Vehicle — Car, SUV, or passenger vehicle detected
• Truck — Truck, lorry, or large commercial vehicle detected
• Face — Human face detected (distinct from full-body person)
• Animal — Animal detected in the scene
• Litter — Litter or waste detected

• Person Moving — Person moving through the scene

• Crowd — Multiple people detected together

• Parked Vehicle — Vehicle parking in a designated spot
• Parking Violation — Vehicle parked in a restricted area
• Speeding — Vehicle exceeding the speed threshold
• Slow Moving Vehicle — Vehicle moving below the minimum speed
• Wrong Way — Vehicle travelling against the flow of traffic
• Left Turn — Vehicle turning left

Number Plates

• Number Plate Detected — Number plate captured by ANPR
• Number Plate Allowed — Number plate matched the allow list
• Number Plate Denied — Number plate matched the deny list
• Number Plate Guest — Number plate flagged as a guest

Intercom

• Doorbell Pressed — Intercom doorbell button pressed
• Unanswered Call — Incoming intercom call not answered

Tampering & Security

• Camera Tampered — Camera tampering or physical interference detected
• Video Lost — Video signal lost
• Video Blinded — Camera lens blocked or obscured
• Video Defocused — Camera out of focus
• Scene Changed — Significant change in the camera's view
• Abnormal Audio — Unusual or abnormal audio detected
• Alarm — General alarm or alert condition

System & Device

• Storage Failure — Recording storage system failure
• Storage Low Space — Storage capacity running low
• Storage Missing — Storage device not found or disconnected
• Storage Switched — Storage device switchover event
• IP Conflict — Network IP address conflict detected
• Network Changed — Network connectivity or configuration changed
• Wi-Fi Connection — Wi-Fi access point connection change
• GPS Update — GPS location uploaded by a mobile or vehicle camera
• Failed Login — Failed authentication attempt on the camera
